hey everyone!!
I am doing well. It amazes me how often people hear God's voice here. It excites me to think that I will start hearing Him more too. He is such a personal God and that is something I forget frequently. God is revealing Himself to my school every day and it is so awesome to see the response of others and myself to his calling.
I chose Papua New Guinea as my major outreach location. I do not know yet if the staff placed me on that team but I know wherever God takes me will be for his glory. The other options were areas in australia and new zealand.
Please pray for my health as I am fighting a cold. We have such a busy schedule, its quite inconvenient being sick around here.
Also i am still in need of my outreach funds which comes to about $3000. If you would like to support me or send in a small donation (everything helps!!!!) please send me an email at flyinghorses227@cox.net and I will send you the proper information. Please pray that God will provide the necessary amount of funds so I can go on outreach.
Thanks so much for all your prayers. God is really working here and I cant wait to see what else he has for me!!

hey everyone!!

Hey everyone,
I'm doing great. I'd been praying before I left that God would unite my dts team and that everyone would get along. God has answered my prayer so far. all the girls are getting along great which is pretty much a miracle when you have 7-8 girls living in one room together! They have all been such a blessing and i think i am going to make some life long friends.
Yesterday we had lectures in the morning on having a clear conscience before God. I've been asking God to really break my heart and open it to him completely. This morning we had worship and we prayed for eachother a lot. It was awesome. I'm becoming a lot more active in my prayer life and i have realized how essential prayer is in a relationship with God.
I have a project due next week on the character of God. I think i am going to do meekness for my project. Tonite we have a family bbq at the base. Its a great time of fellowship and we also celebrate all the birthdays for the week. After the bbq, we are going to play rugby at a park. I'm excited to play this time because last time I just watched.
Thank you all for your prayers and support. I know that I am right where God wants me to be and I can't wait to see what He is going to show me while on this trip. We havent recieved our outreach locations yet but i will let you all know soon where i a planning on going.  Thank you once again and God bless!!! I would love to contact you personally if you have any questions or just like to chat!! just send me an email at flyinghorses227@cox.net
God Bless!!!

Today we had base cleanup where everyone pitches in the clean up the base. I sweeped the stage lol woohoo. Then we had prayer time where we shared about our families and prayed for each other. Then we had class on hearing God's voice, it was real good. We had a baked potato bar for lunch today. they had this garlic butter that was sooooo good!! lol so im finishing up my homework today. For now my homework is like journaling devotional kinda things.

Thank you so much to everyone back in the USA for your support. Oh, and the spring school I am praying about is the Primary Health training. The students have a great blog about their work. http://www.ywamrto.org/profiles/blog/list?user=26syok17jmr2v

So aussie night was soooo fun!!! We learned how to bush dance and it was kinda like country line dancing ish lol. omg it was so much fun!! there was one where the guys were in a big circle and the girls did a dance with like every guy moving around the circle. It was intense exercise too!!!

today we got into groups of 3 and discussed some verses and prayed for each other. I was with a girl named Linsey and a staff leader named Ben. It was really great. We had lots of good discussions and they were really encouraging.

Tonite is like this big footie game its called state of origin. Its where rugby teams like split up and play with other rugby players from their home state in a game so you could be on the same pro team but in the state of origin you could be playing against eachother depending on where you are from in australia. It doesnt count for anything its just pride i guess lol but apparently its a HUGE thing here so they are going to project the game on a big wall and were all gonna watch it. Im excited!! lol i had work duty last night. Im the dishwasher woohoo!! lol ill be a super pro by the time i get home haha

God is really giving me strength and encouragement its awesome. Hes really helping me focus on Him and its such a blessing. im feeling better. :) There is an IPHC (Introduction to Primary Health Care) school starting in January that may be a possibility for me. I could do a thing called mission building for the month of december which is basically just helping out around base like the kitchen or something and u stay on base. Im not worried about money because i keep hearing how abundantly God is providing for everyone here. So as far as funds for the healthcare school goes im not worried but ill wait and see if thats what God wants me to do.

Well I'm still feeling kinda sick with a headcold but hopefully getting better. I'm excited for school to start. I've been having fun learning to play footie. I'll try to get some pics up I just havent really gotten around to it yet.

With everyone arriving it is great meeting them all after talking to them on facebook the past month. Gia is a wonderful new friend and we are already having good times. There's an australian guy on the dts whos awesome at soccer and we were playing together today. It felt so good ive missed soccer so much! We were juggling the ball and stuff and he was giving me pointers and ive made it my goal to juggle to 20 by the end of the dts ive only made it to like 4 but Im determined!!! lol. hes gotten to like 1000! I bruised my foot today playing soccer cuz i just couldnt stop kicking it! lol im learning rugby too and its really fun.

Im so excited to see what God is going to do while im here. i know it wont always be easy but im excited to get closer to Him, and im excited to develop deeper friendships with everybody here. Some guys in the april dts said they all became like one big family and thats what im really praying for in our group. Thanks for the prayers!!! God's definitely starting to work already and i cant wait to see what he has in store for me. There is a group of girls here who are doing the healthcare dts thing. Maybe thatll b my next step??? lol the leader of the group said they learn to treat 8 of the 10 top fatal diseases and whatnot in the world!! I think that would be awesome!!

Tomorrow school officialy starts!!

Day 3

The foods been pretty good. The burgers were kinda funky but not too bad. The beach is really nice. The waters problably like 60-70 degrees farenheit but after the long warm walk to the beach it feels good. Im hoping to go swimming today if i can find somebody to come with me. Our rooms are like the white painted cinder block walls with white tile and 4 bunk beds in each room. theres two rooms separated by a bathroom. Im so glad i got here early. It gave me a chance to get to know people and feel comfortable. Flat rock is just a big rock on a mountain called castle hill but it has the most amazing view ever!!! It's so beautiful at night!!!I didnt really know what to expect but its all going great!Ya i feel pretty comfortable with everybody. 6 more people are coming today.

Day 2

The bbq yesterday was great. Everyone is so friendly so that makes it easy to talk to people. I learned how to throw and kick the rugby ball. Kickings easy but throwings kinda hard. We had burgers and a bunch of birthday cakes to celebrate eveyones bday for july. Then we went to a park for the game. I didnt play this time, i wanna practice a little more first. Then we came back to the base and I went to bed. This morning we walked to the strand ( kinda like the long sidewalk along the beach in california.) and sat on the beach for a while. Its warm here!! but still better than Arizona. Im hoping to go back to the beach tomorrow to go swimming.

I have arrived! My flights were good. I didn't sleep at all on the long one ugh it was sooooo long lol. I found my way ok in the airport in brisbane, asked a lot of people for help. I was picked up by Keevy and Katie at the airport, they had a sign so I recognized them right away. We went out to the car and Aaron my team leader was driving. They drive on the right hand side here lol. Its winter but its still warm (im still sweating ugh lol). Everyone here is really friendly and introduced themselves and everything. Tonite we have a BBQ and were playing "footie" (rugby). Dont worry its optional lol. So far there is a girl named Georgia and Kelsey and a guy named Jonathan and Nate (all students). Georgia is 18 and Kelsey is 20. I really think im gonna enjoy myself :)I have a bunk bed (camp size) but my sheets and pink blanket and cute pillow really perk it up a lot!!! Its weird, I don't know how many hours I've gone without sleep but I havent crashed yet so we will see. Ummm i walked around town today with Georgia and Kelsey. Kelseys been here b4 so she showed us around a little strip mall. So thats about it for today. There's tons of awesome people here who care about me so much and I dont even know all their names!! -Lexi
